Rex Investment Limited - Tanzania's leading solar energy contractor

Rex Investment Limited was selected among the best 20 enterpreneurs of the Believe, Begin, Become business plan competition in March 2009. This national business plan competition was conducted by Technoserve in collaboration with University of Dar es Salaam's Entrepreneurship Centre (UDEC) and Business in Development Foundation Network (BiDNF). This competition aims at selecting Tanzania's high-potential entrepreneurs engaged in sustainable businesses.

Rex Investment Limited was selected among the best 20 enterpreneurs of the Believe, Begin, Become business plan competition in March 2009. Rex Investment Limited business plan successfully passed through all stages of the competition and was selected in the final panel of Tanzania's 20 best high-potential business concept out of more than 500 applications.

Rex's dedication towards expanding access to electricity through solar energy in rural areas was awarded. Special attention was given to:
1. developing job and skills through rural solar electrification;
2. supporting health and education sector development through access to solar energy for rural remote dispensaries and schools.
