Rex donates solar system to Kerege orphanage |

Rex Investment Ltd. has donated a solar energy system to Kerege Orphanage and launched it on Saturday, March 28, on Earth Hour 2009 global initiative together with WWF. The donation aims at demonstrating both the company's local social commitment and its concern on global climate change, and at raising awareness on alternative and eco-friendly power solutions.

This national business plan competition was conducted by Technoserve in collaboration with University of Dar es Salaam's Entrepreneurship Centre (UDEC) and Business in Development Foundation Network (BiDNF). This competition aims at selecting Tanzania's high-potential entrepreneurs engaged in sustainable businesses. |

 Rex Investment Ltd participated to Zanzibar Solar Day on 21 and 22 February, 2009. This event was organised on the occasion of the first anniversary of ZASEA, Zanzibar Solar Energy Association and aimed at raising awareness on solar energy in Zanzibar. By its participation, Rex demonstrated its support to the young ZASEA activities and to strengthening solar energy sector in Zanzibar. Supporting solar energy association and acting towards innovative modalities of public-private partnership is of critical importance for accelerating rural electrification on the island.
